If you bork your laptop, you can supposedly hit the ‘O’ button on the gamepad during the boot for the recovery process. That didn’t work for me, so I re-flashed the machine by booting from a USB flash drive using the secure upgrade method. That way you get the latest Sugar version.

Looks like a front-end for TuxNES Nintendo Entertainment System emulator for sugar. Doesn’t look like much is happening here, but maybe worth seeing if there is a package for this somewhere.

The Ur-Quan Masters is an open source version of the classic game Star Control 2. Pretty good play on the XO. Install through terminal by typing yum install uqm and run with the command uqm

OLPC revives Give One, Get One program with Amazon.com -

The opportunity to comercially purchase an XO laptop is coming back in November through Amazon. The machines will dual boot between Sugar and Windows XP. I would prefer that Microsoft kept its grubby hands off, but maybe it will add to the usefulness of the platform. Or it will just add bloat.
